Restoring Hope: An Integrative Approach to Marital Therapy

9 Lies That Will Destroy Your Marriage: And the Truths That Will Save It and Set It Free
Couples that attend a Hope Restored intensive are provided a copy of the book 9 Lies which highlights some of the tools and concepts more fully developed at the intensive.
Lies about marriage are rampant in our culture and the church. They’re killing marriages. But the corresponding truths can strengthen marriages and even save the most troubled relationships. In this book, marriage experts Robert Paul and Greg Smalley identify the lies, explain how they work to destroy marriages, and reveal the truths that not only can improve marriages but rescue those that are floundering.
9 Lies That Will Destroy Your Marriage includes several self-tests to help you assess the extent to which your own marriage has been affected by each of the nine lies.

Empowered to Love: Discovering Your God-Given Power to Create a Marriage You Both Love
by Robert Paul and Tara Lalonde
When life throws us non-stop challenges and curveballs, how can we have any hope of building a fulfilling and intimate marriage? How do we move from stressed and stretched to energized and inspired, finding the strength to transform both our lives and relationship?
Robert Paul and Tara Lalonde equip husbands and wives with practical, biblically-based tools to transform their personal lives and grow their marriage into something they’ll both love. Instead of just passively hoping and praying for something better, couples will actively embark on a journey of caring for themselves and their most important relationship.

The DNA of Relationships for Couples
by Greg Smalley and Robert S. Paul
Couples that attend an intensive receive a copy of the book The DNA of Relationships for Couples. This book shows readers who are struggling in their marriage the steps to take to strengthen and rebuild their marriage relationship. The practical solutions are built on the basic steps that are explained in The DNA of Relationships. Smalley and Paul uses fictional couples (based on real client experience) who are grappling with real-life problems ranging from work and family priority balance issues to extramarital affairs. Through the telling of the stories of real couples going through the step-by-step counseling process, the book provides a tool to help both partners identify destructive relationship habits and explains how to begin the rebuilding process.
